Monaco bay produced balmy spring-like conditions for the four series competing during the second week-end of the Monaco Primo Cup: : Longtze Premier, Platu 25, Smeralda 888 and X35s. Light winds wear at the menu but a steady south-westerly breeze meant the Race Committee was able to run four races on Sunday, on top of the four races already sailed on Friday and Satursday.
The competition was fierce in the Longtze class, with 4 boats winning at least a race: Wetfeet (Eckhard Kaller, GER824) of course (3 wins) and Nicolas Berenger (Un maillot pour la vie, FRA 820), expected to shine as he fought to make it three victories in a row in Monaco (2 wins), but also QI, SUI 826, from Beat Frank, who proved to become a very strong contender, and Generation Ecole Navale, FRA 833, skipper Fabien Delahaye with a crew of midships from the Naval Academy.
